Jessica (Jess? Jessie? Which do you prefer?),
I was going to write this in "professional voice" but I've been using it with people all day and it's driving me up the wall to listen to myself so just pretend I'm being annoyingly slick and professional, aye? Anyhow, as far as your inquiry about whether or not we're hiring, Lucas and I would love to have more help around the office. We've got a temporary full-time person, the two of us and someone I like to appropriate to help when I need her expertise. It can be both very, very excruciatingly slow around here and insanely chaotic depending on the day/week/lunar position/time of day/weather...
With Sarah recovering from everything that happened in Genosha she's mostly not working at the moment. We don't know what her plans are once she does come back, whether she will want to move up to take on more hours or not but we're pretty sure we can find something for you two to do even if you both want full time hours.
You'd be looking at general coffee making, answering phones, making appointments, transcribing notes, running errands and that sort of thing. We'd probably look at training you to be able to do some basic screening of clients to help us prioritize appointments and eventually allow us to met with fewer clients so we can be doing the investigating out in the field and in turn take on more cases than we can with our current set up. That would be a few months off at the least, of course. There's always the possibility of field work but we're a little worried about safety with you going catatonic when you have visions. If that's something you do want to do then after a number of months of doing reception/assistant stuff we can talk about the possibility and see what we can work out.
You would need to go through a whole finger printing process which we need to send off to the State Department along with my most favorite thing ever (paperwork) and you'd need to understand that every single thing that happens with clients or cases is strictly confidential and we both can and will hand you your ass for violating our clients' confidentiality.
That is what we can offer you to help you fill your time. Let us know if you're still interested.
-Vanessa
