Hey there,

So sorry to have left you to your own devices for way too long. I don't usually do the new resident thing and I have another job so I might have dropped the ball big time. How are things?

I've attached the usual "Welcome to Xavier's" pamphlet, which gives you all the info on the teams, and the facilities and whatnot. I figure first up you'll need an alternative to that note pad of yours - I'll get my mate Artie to get in touch. His mutation means he can't talk either and he has a speech synthesizer gizmo he uses instead of a notepad when his power's on the blink or when it's a bad idea for people to see words floating in mid-air. He's also fluent in ASL, if you want some teaching? They don't do so well with BSL here, silly Yanks.

Oh, also? Don't call them Yanks to their faces. Or use the word "fag" for cigarette.

You'll probably also needs a powers assessment. I'm not 100% sure who does those these days, but Kyle's one of the Gen X mentors, so he should be able to point you in the right direction. I'll let him know.
