I am so sorry about this afternoon. I'm not great around people and Cyndi was acting out on my anxiety. I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable, especially once my own issues started getting into the conversation. It was extremely unprofessional, and I usually have more self-control than that. I'm sorry. It won't happen again. And I'm sorry about the water. And I'm sorry that I can't seem to stop saying I'm sorry, because I've typed it so much the word's starting to lose all meaning even to me.

As for the water, next time the dodge will be more adept and the wave will be bigger.

I'm calmer now, but I do still apologize again. It's been a very long time since I met anyone else with DID, presently or formerly, and even then never another mutant. From what I understand Cyndi to me is basically analagous to Aurora for you, and since I remember what a major integration of my own was like I can't help thinking that the encounter was like getting hit with an unexpected pop quiz. So I am sorry. If it happens again, especially at a bad time for you, please feel free to be direct in telling me to leave you alone. Or hit me with water or something. That also works pretty well.

For future reference, you can identify my alters in part by eye-color. My baseline in one brown eye, one blue. Jack, the telekinetic, is grey eyed. You're unlikely to see Davey, but his are both blue. Cyndi's eyes are green.

I am glad you have calmed yourself, but it is truly all right. All of it. Our shared ~~illness~~ condition is rare and I can understand the anxiety and the interest that brought us to where we are. I have known very few like us as well. I would be lying if I said I am not...curious at times. If unwillingly so.

I hope it will not come to that.

Objectively, it's an interesting subject -- especially since it looks like we both split our powers away from our baseline personalities at one point. I don't know whether this is due to the nature of the percipitating trauma or if it's common practice. There's just not enough case studies to judge. And I understand the ambivalence. While I'd like to study it, I could never myself specialize in the treatment of DID.

And by "part" I mean I have a few tells. Aside from the differences in vocabulary, bodylanguage and intonation, another indication is power-use. Jack is my macro-TK, and Cyndi handles the molecular levels (usually fire, but recently liquids). I'm a telepath, and have probably the least sensitivity of any in Xavier's, but to be honest no one's ever really complained about that. However, since Jack and Cyndi are much freer with their power use they're fairly easy to identify from a distance.

PS: I think it's just a conditioned response of mine to apologize for anything. Up to and including speaking at all (though sometimes this is warranted).
