I don't know if you're still the person to chase for sorting out driving tests and all the rest of it, but I really need to stop having to get lifts from people all the time, and since there's no decent public transport in this part of the world, driving it is. Could you help me sort out the driver's permit and all the rest of it after Nate and Moira's wedding? I think my paperwork will stand up to it.
I sort of know the basics, if basics include driving really fast and dodging police cars. *grins* Just joking - the lads didn't let me drive much after that incident with the Thames...
Ta,
A.

Wanda,
Seeing people posting about uni and all the rest of it has made me realise I'm in a spot of bother with the schooling. I know finals aren't until next week, but after the last couple of months, there's no bloody way I'll pass everything. Or even most of it. And I accept that as what happens when you let the personal stuff get in the way of the school work, so I'm not expecting special treatment or nothing. But what I would like is the chance to do some make-up classes over the summer, and see if I can't finish high school by the end of the year.
I also need to look at what classes I'm taking next term and how they fit in with what I'm thinking of doing - Pete and I were looking at some courses through the local... community college, I think they call them here. Polytechnics at home. But yeah, was thinking of maybe getting into something like social work or the like, something that wouldn't need another four years in uni since we both know I'm not cut out for that.
Part of the complication is Meg - I need to arrange stuff so I've got time to look after her, and still sometimes have an actual life. Can I come and see you sometime this week?
Oh, and since Remy's in Istanbul, you couldn't see your way clear to giving me a lift to Strange's class Saturday morning? I'll even not make those faces when you two snog hello. ;)
Amanda.

Date: 2005-05-09 02:39 pm (UTC)Certainly, I'd love to have you stop by. I'll be spending a great deal of time at the mansion this week, so we shouldn't have to work around my work at the college campus.
*laughs*
Not a problem taking you to your class on Saturday, if you don't mind riding Scott's motorcycle (mine's being delivered shortly, thank God). And if you promise not to make faces, I promise not to 'snog' all that long with your professor. ;)
