Subject: when you've got some time...
Feel like stopping by my office so that we can have a rather overdue talk? Between the riot, the holidays, and everything that's happened so far this month, I haven't really had a chance to touch base with you about how things are going, and, well, where you want to take things.
I know that Alison and Ororo have been picking up my slack, but now that I can do paperwork for more than an hour without getting a migraine I don't really have much excuse to be slacking off. Or so I keep telling myself.

I imagine you're probably still walking on air - wait, no, that's Jean's trick. You glow. In any case, if the lingering giddiness will permit it, could I get you to run an analysis on the marksmanship scenario I ran in the Danger Room yesterday? I want to see if your conclusions dovetail with mine, or if I'm just being overly optimistic. It just seems to me that between the scenario with Shiro and this one, I'm getting closer to my previous levels of precision with my optic blasts. (Note I said 'closer', not 'back to' - I'm not that optimistic.)

I thought we'd established that as I was no longer suffering quite so badly from the migraines, you no longer needed to be pilfering my paperwork and doing it before I could get to it? Here I am, sitting down to go over equipment inventories, and not only have they already been reviewed, but there's an itemized list of our current needs complete with orders placed to half of the suppliers already.
Ah, well. I can spend the rest of the afternoon writing tactical reviews, I suppose. Which is, I admit, moderately more interesting than inventory.

Yessir, I'll be there. Looking forward to the talk, actually.
And, y'know, heh, most people not you wouldn't think of it as slacking off when they actually lose a freaking body part and have to recuperate. Just saying. :)

I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about...
Okay, momma always said I was a horrible liar. *shrug* I just figured, even with you functioning better, that an XO's duty is still to take the boring jobs away from his CO so that the CO can concentrate on more important things.
But if you really _want_ to do inventories, I suppose I could stop stealing them...

I can control it! Mostly... Ahem. :D
And sure! I'll head down there in a bit, actually, and get that taken care of today if you like?

PS - I guess I ought to make an announcement of some sort? Meep?

PS - When you're ready. The only reason I know is that I know everything.
PPS - Okay, so it may have something to do with the telepathic wife.

PS - I'll talk to Haroun. And I know that!
PPS - I know that too! I think it's both, mind. ;)
