No doubt you have heard by now of the somewhat disastrous retreat we attended this past weekend. While I was hoping that perhaps we would gain some trust with one another, or at least a letting-down of some walls and rivalries, what we got instead was much... different. I have been assured the effects are only temporary, though I confess I am more than slightly relieved you are at Muir this week. Of all the obstacles I expected between us, I must admit this was not one of them.
I hope your time in Scotland has been more productive and much less stressful. Despite the distracting nature of what happened, I find I do miss you, quite a bit, and I look forward to seeing you when you return. And when things have returned to normal.

You know, considering that my own staff seems caught up in this, I'm almost glad I got shot and missed out as a result. I've got enough issues with mental identity to have physical added on to it.
But you know that if you need it, I am here. I was pretty sure that I got the Ororo the person when we started dating, and that doesn't mean I'm going to run away just because you got yourself maled. Mind you, I'll be a lot happier when you're back to your female body, because it is rapidly becoming one of the central pre-occupations of my life. Even so, whatever you need, I'm not that far away.

It is surprisingly not as difficult to deal with as I first thought it might be... though clothes are an issue, of course. Everybody seems to be handling it well enough; a few people have not left their rooms much since it happened, though I am loathe to think too hard about why that might be. Knowing it is temporary helps a great deal, of course. I would imagine more uncertainty would raise the stress level quite a bit.
And thank you for saying that. I truly do not feel like all that different a person, though for once in my life I am taller than Scott and that is a cause for glee. All I need to know is that you are well and not in any danger, since I do not think I would be allowed to fly to rescue you as I look significantly different than the picture on my passport.

Never thought it was all that big of a deal. Let's be honest, a bra isn't a Rubik's Cube, and any one over the age of twenty that doesn't know the opposite sexes body at least passingly well either hasn't been paying enough attention or just isn't trying. About the only thing I'm willing to sympathize on are the heels, because even I had a bitch of a time getting used to those. Go enjoy the male body for a little bit. Considering the sheer amount of whining from everyone else, you acting cool with it might stop making them act like they deaged at the same time they swapped gender.
I'm hoping to be back after this weekend. I think I'll need to see the Professor around then, so I'll come get you at the school. It's a naturally cold bed at Muir. I'd prefer not to do the same back in New York.
